Thoughtful Thursday


     And it's Thursday. Since last week, we dealt with all the snow & rain. At the moment it is 65 & sunny outside here. I'm ready for Spring to get here because the only thing I like about Winter is the clothing. Other than the weather, everything is still the same looking for jobs, well doing all these assesments for jobs I've applied for. I might actually post something tomorrow since I most definitely did not keep my being consistent goal for the month of February pertaining to writing. Anywho, here are some thoughts/quotes for today:

I'm going to try to post three to four times a week since I do have post done (more like 75% done) but I've been focusing on my employment situation more. Oh, & trying not to be on the computer or social media too much so I can try to keep my reading goals promise to myself.

Thoughtful Thursday


Happy Thursday! Yes, I'm a slacker & putting this up super late. I'm trying to get better with putting things up/scheduling them to post. At the moment however, I'm having to fix where it post to my FB, twitter, & here at the same time like it use to do. Not much happening here except trying to read the stack of books that I have sitting on my table (which was one of my goals last month). Anywho, here are some quotes for today:

February 2021 Goals

   Last month, I decided to do three goals each month to help me met my bigger goals. I will share the progress of the goals from January after I share my goals for this month.  So, 10 day into February, & I'm already not meeting one of my goals for this month. My goal for February are below:

Try to get 7 to 9 hours a sleep a night
     I use to get about 7 to 8 hours a night then the pandemic happened. Since then, my sleep ranges from 6 to 7.5 hours a night. I know that some of my fatigue would get better if I got more sleep. However, since I'm still unemployed I end up not getting anything that I do for myself done until later in the day (like blogging & trying to do my taxes at the moment). I'm going to try to do a set wake-up & sleep time again to see if that helps with it.

     Since the beginning of Covid in 2020, I've been baking A LOT of cookies, cakes, & pies. So many in fact, that I gained weight like most people from being in the house & eating junk. This is technically going to be one of the things that I'm giving up for lent so I'm eating/ using all the sugar in my house before it starts. I'm still going to eat fruit but no more putting caramel on desserts or apples. 

Be more consistent
     This pertains to most areas in my life in the moment. In the last year, I have become more sluggish then I was before. This has caused me to not be as consistent with exercising, blogging, reading, & with other things in my life. I set some time aside to try to do a little of all these things. If they don't get done, then I need to start evaluating why I'm slacking & not getting finished with task.

Now onto my goals I set in January. I have not had not one cup or shot of coffee since January 1st of this year. I'm still tired during the day but I'm sleeping a little better than I did before. I'm actually getting tired at bedtime now instead of staying up until 1 or 2 in the morning.  I did drink less during January. I pretty much limited my drinking to Wednesdays on my podcast, none during the week, & one day on the weekends. It worked fairly well. I'm going to try to continue doing this as well. Now the reading 4 books was a fail. I am only half-way through the first book I started. I'm going to try to watch less You Tube & TV, replacing that with reading to see how far I get before the end of the month. 

I'm going to try to see if any of the small changes that I made last month helps with what I'm doing this month. Going to make a big goal of trying to read eight books this month. This is a part of the whole being consistent goal. Also, I'm going to try to post more pictures & graphic since it makes things flow easier. Until tomorrow, Peace & Blessings, all!!!

Thoughtful Thursday

 Happy Thursday!! So, I was going to post my goals for February & the results of my January goals but that was a fail. I'm going to post that on Monday. One of my goals for February falls into some things that pertain to my blogging & life so we'll  see how that goes. Also, reading was one of my goals last month so I'm going to share the books I read last month when I share what I read for February. Since this month is Black History Month, all the books I'm reading this month are either written by a Black person, an autobiography about a Black person, or topic that affects Black people in America. Until then, I'm going to use the month of February to finish using quotes from Billy Chapata's Book Chameleon Aura:

I will have some new post up next week. Could be three days or if I'm super productive, it maybe four days. I plan on posting some of the recipes I've made over the last month along with some new products I've been using. Until then, Peace & Blessings, all!!!
