Clarins Multi-Active Day and Night cream review

A few weeks ago, I received this five day starter kit froClarins of their Multi-Active Day and Night creams from Influenster.
I used the Day Broad Spectrum in the morning after directly after I washed my face and put on my eye cream/ before put on foundation and concealer. I then used the  Multi-Active night moisturizer  used after I washed my face and put my eye cream on.
Actually, I used only half of each packet they sent me so it lasted ten days instead of five. There were definitely pros and cons to both of the creams.
Multi-Active Day Broad Spectrum SPF 20                                                        Multi-Active Night
What I liked
-using a smaller amount of  the moisturizer helped it go smooth
- moisturizer was lighter when using less
-did not leave a residue

What I disliked
-if the whole package was used, the cream was heavy
-a tad bit on the greasy side
-had a strong smell

A small amount definitely goes a long way. I would suggest using about a dime size of each one. If you use too much your face will look super oily.
Overall I would recommend this especially, if you have dry skin during the winter months like myself.

I was sent these products for reviewing purposes. These are my own opinions of the product.

Thoughtful Thursday

I don't know about all of you but I am so glad the week is almost over. For most of the week I have been kind of out of it. Literally, on Monday I had made an appointment not realizing that it was the beginning of the week and and not Wednesday. Here are some thoughts that I liked from Pinterest this week:

Dove and Dove Men+ Antiperspirants Review

A while ago I received from Influenster
some Dove and Dove Men+Care deodorants to try.

I decided to give the men's one to my boyfriend and I kept the women's one. The one I was sent was the cool essentials dry spray. It has a cucumber and green tea scent. Here are some pros and cons of the women's one:

Pros
Easy to use
Smell great
Covers whole area easily

Cons
If you spray it to close to your underarm, it stings a bit
Leaves that white, deodorant residue sometimes if you use too much

The Men+Care one was a Extra Fresh scent. I asked my boyfriend what he thought of it but of course he really didn't give an in depth view on it. He liked that it was easy to take with him with traveling. He also like that unlike the stick ones that if you drop the bottle, there is not a risk of breaking the deodorant itself and their is no clean up.

The overall verdict is that we would by both of these. We have had them for over an month and there is still a good amount left in both. I usually buy deodorant based on my skin since it is so sensitive. With this deodorant, I have not had any skin issues so I say it is definitely worth trying regardless of you skin type.

Fitness Tuesday

This week for Fitness Tuesday, I wanted to post some healthy snack. I admit, depending on the day I may snack or not. There are so much different opinions on snack. Some say to eat three meals a day, while others say to do five to six small meals. I say just don what you think is best for you. Personally, I eat when my stomach starts making sounds so. Anywho, here are some recipes from Cooking Light that I thought would be some good options:

You may be seeing a variation on one or two of these snacks in the near future. Everyone have a great Tuesday!!!!!

I have literally been the worse at blogging the last couple of weeks. Well..... all the projects, case studies, and papers I have to do can be blamed for that. Next week, I am hopefully am going to post some more drink and food recipes along with some product reviews. Until then here are some thoughts for this week.

Now, time for me to stop being a slacker and to get back to my case study and one project I have to finish. Everyone have a great Thursday and remember:

Fitness Tuesday

The past couple of days, I felt like I have disappeared into a black hole between the two projects and paper I have due this week. The only thing I can say that I have stuck to is going to the gym 3 to 4 times a week. Sadly, I haven't gone to Pilates in the last two weeks due to my schedule. Here are some of the workouts that I have done on the days that I have been too busy to go to the gym:

If you haven't noticed by now I love some planks. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Fitness Tuesday

Hi out there, time for another Fitness Tuesday. This week, I am going to post some of the nutrition items I found on Pinterest. Most people forget that what you out in your mouth is as important as the working out/physical activities you take part in. I know for myself, that you can exercise as hard as you want but if you are still eating unhealthy that it will not make a difference. Here are some of the nutrition items I think are helpful:

I have always been told it is 80% what you eat and 20% the exercise you do. I have finally figured out that is pretty accurate. Considering Lent is about to start, I'm definitely using that time to do an overhaul of my diet and make some more permanent changes.

Anyone else make any nutrition changes recently???

Winter Beauty Finds

This winter, I have tried more beauty and skin care products than I usually would. I think its because of the crazy weather, which is making my skin go crazy/freak out on me a little. Between it being 72 one day and 32 the next I can definitely say that the weather is having an identity crisis. Here are some of the new products that I have found and have started putting into my regular routine:

This is a great lip balm for when you plan on being out and about. I usually wear this when I am out running downtown and sometimes for everyday use when it is sunny out.

Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer
I use this concealer along with what I have left of my Nars concealer. They work great together because they are almost the exact same color. The best part is this is only $14 compared to the Nars one at $29.
Mario Badescu Ceramide Herbal Eye Gel
This has really helped with puffiness dark circles under my eyes. It is extremely light weight and not greasy like some others I have tried. I started using this in place of my gel that came with my Opal. A little goes a long way with this cream.

Usually after a night out with my friends, I use this scrub. It says to use two-three times a week but, in my case I use it once a due to my combination skin.

My friend gave me this about a month ago and I absolutely love it. I use this after I put on my liquid foundation/concealer to set it before I use the Rosewater below. From what I have seen, it does help keep my make-up on longer then normal.

Facial Spray with Aloe, Herb, and Rosewater
I bought this in both sizes they make from Ulta. It is great as a sitting spray after you apply all of your make-up (except mascara and eyeliner). It tends to give your face a hydrated look after. Their website has it for $12 but if you are looking to save some money, I would suggest getting it at Ulta. They have the large for $7 and small for $5. Just make sure not to spray too much.

That is just some of the products that I bought over the last month or so. Does anyone else go product crazy when the seasons change and try new items???

Chili's Bold Skillet Sauces

When I am grocery shopping I am always down for trying something new and different. About a month or so ago, I saw these Chili's Skillet Sauces
They looked like they could taste good so I bought two of the pouches which were:

I decided to make the Citrus Mango one first. The directions were easy to follow. All do is:
-Cut the chicken up in cube or wide strips (I did strips).
-Brown the chicken in a skillet, place cooked pieces to the side on a plate.
-Once all pieces are cooked, add sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes.
-Add salt and pepper and stir.
-Place sauce on top of wild rice.

Here is how mine turned out.

I ended it placing my chicken on top of some wild and long rice. The sauce can be used for tacos, fajitas, or even alone with just the chicken. Overall, once I added the pepper and salt it made it taste better. I do have to say that the flavor of the rice and sauce were really good. I would recommend eating this over rice instead of by itself. The sauce is a little sweet with just it and the chicken.

This is my own personal opinion of the product.
