Thoughtful Thursday

Can not believe this is the last Thursday of 2017. It is crazy thinking about how fast this year has flown by. Since there are only 4 days left in 2017, I am already thinking about all the things that I want to do in 2018. 2018 I have decided is going t be a year that I truly making some changes for the better.

With that said, here are some quotes that I found that I think are appropriate for the end of one chapter and the beginning of another from Pinterest:

Tea Tree Oil Shampoo with Maple Holistics

I received this product from Maple Holistics for review. This opinion is and mine alone.

Sometimes, you need a break and the last few days were definitely needed. I was a little sick for a day or so (no surprised there). Excited about the new year and getting back on track. One thing that I  I have been doing this year is trying different products to change up my regular routine. A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Haley at  Maple Holistics about reviewing a product of theirs. All of the products that the company has are made in the USA and are all natural.  There are a range of products that they make from skin care to bubble bath.

I ended up receiving the Tea Tree Shampoo to tryout.
I have used the shampoo a few times since I received it at the end of November. The verdict is that its a good product. One of the major pluses for me is that it has kept my hair from being so brittle. A lot of shampoo tend to dry out my hair for some reason. This one does not do that at all.

It helps with the dryness of the scalp.  My scalp has not flaked or been as dry as it was before using this product. People use to mention that to me sometimes. No one has said anything about since using the shampoo. I am going to tryout  the conditioner sometime soon. One crazy thing that I have noticed too since I started using this is that my hair is been growing softer. If you ever want to try some of the shampoo out, here is where you can chose a free sample of one of there products

Peace and Blessings, all. I would love to know if any of you try some of their products. Have a great Thursday!!!

Pomegranate Acai & Blueberry Spritzer

Hi all!!! I officially have my life and some of my time back for the moment. School is finished for the semester. I even surprised myself this semester I ended up with a 4.0 so for me it is time to relax and celebrate. One thing that I did this week end was make a new drink.

Ever since last summer, I have been using the Pomegranate Acai & Blueberry sorbet from Kroger. I usually put some in my Champagne. I decided mix it with something different. I call this a spritzer since its made with club soda. It ended up being very refreshing. This would be a perfect drink for the Summer or Winter (since it is still technically Fall) with cranberry.

Here are the ingredients that I used:
One can of Q club soda
1 shot of vodka (I used Skyy)

The one can of Q was added with the shot of vodka. Then, the melon baller was used to make the three balls, dropping each ball of sorbet in the glass. I used a stirrer to help the balls melt some. Finally, the 2 splashes were added for color. I think I am going to try it with cranberries or something else to make it more festive for the season.

Peace & blessings all!! Have a great Monday & I would love to know if any of you have tried any new drink recipes lately.

Fitness Tuesday

Happy Tuesday, all!!! I can't believe that December is not only here but in less than 4 weeks, that it will be 2018. This last part of the year has gone by so fast, its ridiculous. Since it is getting cooler down here in the South, it is time for one of my favorite things: Soup.
I know that everyone makes soups using all different kind methods (crock pots, stove cooktop, microwave, and so on). In the next few weeks, I am going to try making these in the next few weeks. I found most these on Eating Well, which is one of my favorite website for healthy food recipes. Here are a few of my favorites:

Smoked Gouda-Broccoli Soup

Egg Drop Soup with Vegetables

Easy Butternut Squash Soup

Slow-cooker vegetable soup

Many of these are healthy and great options if you trying to add vegetables into your diet. Soup is also great for weight loss/maintaining. I would love to hear what soups you all like or what soup you love in colder months.

Peace & blessings, all!! Have a great Tuesday!

Thoughtful Thursday

It's Thursday!!! Most importantly it's almost Friday. I finished my last exam of the semester on Tuesday. This means that I am officially free (excluding work) until January when the Spring semester starts. Since this is that last Thursday in November (I can't believe that December starts on Friday), I decided to post some funny quotes from Pinterest:

Peace & Blessings all!!! Have a great Thursday!

Fitness Tuesday

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Since it is Cyber Monday was yesterday, I though I would share some of the exercise clothes that I bought. For those of you who have been reading for a while, you know that most of my exercise clothing is Victoria's Secret. They had some great sales on exercise pants and sport bras. Here are the ones that I bought:

I am loving all the cut-outs and mesh on  the pants and tops right now. Some of these I wear to the gym but I also wear them on the weekends running errands and just running around. Off to finish studying for my last final of the semester (YAASSS!!!)

Peace & Blessings all!!! Has anyone else found some new exercise clothes or styles that they are loving lately

Thanksgiving sale buys

Hello all!!! I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday.  I know that everyone has posted about the sales and their Christmas gift guides/wish list. Not going to lie, I usually wait until the last minute to do my shopping. This year though, I started doing it are you ready for it EARLY.
I bought a few of  the Old Navy items on Black Friday when they were 50% off with an additional 10% off. Others items like the one from Old Try I waited a day or so to decide how many prints I wanted. Here some of the items I bought during the last three days of sales:

50% off everything with code CYBER, free shipping, and an additional 10% off with the code TREAT

I knew I wanted this top when I saw the sleeves. I bought this shirt in the black and white in the regular length. Now, here is what I did not like: if you are tall like I am, then the regular ends up being too short in the sleeves and the length over the stomach. I would order in the tall if you are wanting sleeves.

I bought this turtleneck in these two colors plus the black one (which is sold out now). The one thing I like about these is that the sleeves are long enough. They are a little bit see-through so I would suggest wearing a tank underneath or a vest on top of the turtleneck.

I have been wanting to buy an Old Try print for years. This year, I finally bit the bullet and decided to get one since they were on sale. I bought the two prints (the pineapple one is sold out now) and the two pennants above. The Alabama pennant is a Christmas gift. The Georgia one is mine (no suppose there). I was also going to buy one of the Auburn prints for my friend who went there:

I have been debating whether to buy this one as well:
What do you think???

40% off at checkout

I bought the dress and the classic button down a week ago when they had a 40% off sale. I ended up returning those two items yesterday after I made the mistake of going on Black Friday. The line was about 150 long so I decided to wait. I have been wearing the cardigan everyday since I bought it. It goes great with lounge clothes and with work items.

The dress above is actually not the dress that I own. The one that I bought got sold out between Friday and last night. I returned it to the store due to it being too big. It was a swing dress and a large literally looked like a sack. I ordered a medium online so hopefully it will not be so baggy. The shirt below is the print of the that dress:

Outside of these items, I bought an electric wine opener and my mom some of her Christmas presents. I am probably going to finish the rest of my shopping in the next few day. Many of the items are on sale so this is a better time than any to go ahead and get everything.

Peace & Blessing all!!! I would love to know if any of you found great deal or sales this week.

Mini Cauliflower Pizza

Hello, all. Hard to believe that it is almost Christmas. I know that I have been super M.I.A for the last almost 2 weeks #lifehappens. I had a HUGE project and three papers due. So, I took a little break from the blog to get all my school things done. These days, I feel like I am taking one step forward and three back. I am still trying to figure out blog scheduling with work and school.

Luckily, the semester will be over on the 29th. Lately, I have gotten back into cooking at home again. I think that has more to do with me wanting to save some money. Plus, I am that weirdo that enjoys going to the grocery store and walking around (I do not enjoy standing in long line though). One thing the I have been cooking a bit is cauliflower pizza.

The first time that is made the cauliflower pizza dough, it turned out horrible. I did the first part right but once you get to the squeezing out the water part of it a lot of it did not come out so the dough was super moist and tasted weird. This time though, I used a recipe (that I made some changes to) from The Kitchen on the Food Network. Marcela used broccoli tots to make pizza dough. I used rice cauliflower

I recommend this or the cauliflower tots since they are easy to cook and there is less water in them.

First I cooked the bag according to the directions range, I cooked mine for about 6 minutes. After taking it out the microwave, I pour it into a bowl and squeeze out any extra water in the rice. I then mix in black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning to the rice.

After nixing the spices in, I rolled the cauliflower in to bags (I ended making 24 of these). Once rolled, I flatted each one with a spoon to make a mini pizza shape.

Even though I have been cooking for years, I finally discovered the pre-cut cookie baking sheets parchment paper When I say they are a lifesaver when baking anything, I literally mean it. I have used these for cookies, the pizza, and some other items. After I flatten them, I cooked them for 20 minutes on 350 degrees.
After they are cooked, I then added topping on them. I did half cheese and the other half pepperoni and cheese. I cooked them again with the topping on them for another 12 minutes.

They tasted really great. The cheese did get a little crispy (as you an see from the picture) but I personally like my topping a little more done than others. I would say to cook the pizza with the topping for a shorter time if you do not want the top to be crispy.

Peace and Blessing, all. Have a great Monday and I would love to hear whether any of you have eaten cauliflower pizza before or tried making it yourself.

Wayfair Bar Cart

It's Wednesday aka Hump Day. Last week I said that I was going to post a picture of the bar cart that I bought from Wayfair. I was originally going to buy a side board for the wall by the dining room table. The sideboard I wanted ended up being too big so, getting a bar cart was the best option for the moment since I have no formal China or serving ware yet that needs to be stored. This is the cart before I put anything on the other shelves.
The bar cart is sold out now.

At first I wanted the white cart (pictured below) but with the white walls (for the moment until we decide to paint) it would blend together.
The shelves are made of glass. Champagne flute rack is on the second level and a wine rack that holds three bottles on the bottom.  By accident, I put the wine rack on backwards. Luckily, I have a small wine rack I found at World Market. Mostly, I store my wine and liquor in the wine chiller that my mom bought for me.

Here is where some of the items on the cart are from: Cocktail shaker and bar accessories, Wine Rack (similar), Wine Glasses, Champagne flutes, Wine Glasses (similar), Initial Platter.

I'll post the rest when it is completely done. I still have a post I need to get framed and matted for the area. just waiting for Hobby Lobby to have their frames on sale again (since I know that the frame plus the custom mat will be on the high end).

Peace & blessings, all. I would love to know if anyone else has a bar cart instead of a sideboard or if you have both & why.

This is my opinion of the bar cart. All opinion are mine  & I did not receive any compensation for my opinion.
