Fitness Tuesday

Happy Tuesday!!! It's not only Tuesday but it is my birthday today as well. Every year, I usually buy a new outfit to wear on my birthday. Well, this year I am buying new exercise clothes because I really need more of those.... I had been on a spending break for a while so since today started the Victoria's Secret semi-annual sale I though it would be a good time to stock up on these tanks.

I have this tank in black, white, the rose color, and the gray color.  These are great for exercising, lounging or running errands. I had to stop myself before I bought every color.

And debating buying some more of these:

I own a few of these already. I know that a lot of people have not liked how they changed the way that they make these/the material that is used. If you are wanting a sports bra that will give you support like a regular bra when you are working out, this bra is it.

Here are a few other items that have caught my eye:

Since last September, I have been working out more and trying to eat better. One plus is that I now know what foods make me feel great and the ones that make me feel like crap so I try to stay away from those. After my car accident almost two years ago, I have a new appreciation for life. This year, turning 36, I hope to go on some new adventures and make some changes personally and professionally in my life.

Here's to 36!!! Peace and blessings, all and have a great Tuesday.

Fitness Tuesday

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Since it is Cyber Monday was yesterday, I though I would share some of the exercise clothes that I bought. For those of you who have been reading for a while, you know that most of my exercise clothing is Victoria's Secret. They had some great sales on exercise pants and sport bras. Here are the ones that I bought:

I am loving all the cut-outs and mesh on  the pants and tops right now. Some of these I wear to the gym but I also wear them on the weekends running errands and just running around. Off to finish studying for my last final of the semester (YAASSS!!!)

Peace & Blessings all!!! Has anyone else found some new exercise clothes or styles that they are loving lately

Fitness Tuesday

Anyone who has been reading my blog long enough knows that I have a small addiction to exercise clothes. And you know that I buy all of them from Victoria's Secret. They have decided to lower the price of their sport bras, which makes them super affordable now compared to when they were $55 and up. Not just the price but now they are broken up into support type so you can get the one that best fits which activity your are doing.

Here are some of my favorites:

Does anyone else have a clothing line that they are loyal to when it comes to exercise gear.

Fitness Tuesday: workout clothes

Happy Tuesday!!! For the first Fitness Tuesday of 2016 I wanted to talk about one of my favorite type of clothing: Workout clothes. Maybe its'  the comfort factor but for the most part, I live in workout clothes when I'm not at work.

As one of my 2016 "Goals" is to start working out on a regular basis, I decided to get rid of some of my old exercise clothes that I haven't worn in years. Since Victoria's Secret is having their semi-annual sale I decided to get some news gear. Here are some of the things that I bought:

All these are still in stock except the Knockout bras. I love them because they have regular bra support but with a sports bra look. Another thing about these is the price: everything piece is between $12.99-$19.99 when they are regularly $36-$65 except the shorts which are 2 for $49 (unless you get a certain color which then they are $19.99). If you are as obsessed with workout clothes as I am then I would highly suggest getting to the sale before it ends.

Also, I have been trying to find some shoes that I can wear while doing Pilates on a reformer, the machine used for the classes. These Nike sock/shoes are the only ones that I have been able to find so far beside just socks.

They are cute and have the grips on the feet I need, but since I am moving up and down on the machine so much, it does murder on the arch of my foot. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions of what I can do, I would be forever thankful.

Has anyone else started working on any of their goals or resolutions for 2016 yet??

Semi-Annual Sale

Hello all,

It's that time of year that happens many times of year at this point: the Victoria's Secret semi-annual sale!!! It starts today for Angel card holders (which I will admit, I spend WAY too much money in the place) but it starts in June 4th online and June 9th in store.

They also still have these sales going on:

Ends Wednesday! 20% off a Single Bra. Excludes clearance. Click to shop.

Ends Wednesday! Free Shipping on $50. Use code SHIP50. Click for details.

Ends Wednesday! 20% off Swim Best-Sellers. Valid on full-priced styles, now back in stock! Click to shop.

Ends Wednesday! $25 Beach Linen Pant. Orig. $49.50. Get it now.

If you need to stock up on lounge wear this is the time to do it. I learned the hard way last year that if you like an item to buy it because Victoria's Secret has a tendency to stop making items (their line of jeans, boots, and shoes in certain styles and colors).

Does anyone else buy other items at Victoria's Secret besides underwear as well?

Morning make-up routine

Depending on the day and time usually depends on how much make up I wear. Without fail I always at least wear mascara, concealer, and some lip color. I am going to share with y'all my make-up routine. Here is a picture of me without any make-up:

Before applying my make-up I wash my face with Revision skincare Brightening Face wash.

I then apply my D.E.J eye cream. I usually apply this in the morning and before I go to bed.

Lastly my moisturizer called Multi-protection broad spectrum with SPF 50.
I mainly use Revision Skincare if you haven't noticed that.

When applying my make-up, I start with a primer called Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water. They have it in two sizes: the one linked and a smaller travel version (which is pictured) for $16. I like that I can spray it to set my make-up in the morning and carry it with me to freshen my make-up throughout the day. If you do not like the spray, they have the original which is the Iconic Photo Finish Foundation Primer. The large is a little more than the spray but it has a $16 travel size as well.

Next, I put on my foundation which is Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Foundation. For me, it does not feel as heavy on my skin as other foundations I have tried. I put it everywhere but around my eyes.

Next, I use Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I pretty much use this everyday since I have undereye circle due to my allergies. It works great on covering those and blemishes. I go through this once every 3 to 4 months which isn't that bad for using it everyday.

After that I put on my mascara. Bare Minerals Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara.  I received some of this as a gift for Christmas last year and have been using every since. If lengthening your lashes and making them look fuller is what you want out of a mascara, then this is the one I would suggest trying. At $18, I liked it better than some of the more expensive ones that I tried in the past.

Lastly, I put my eyeliner one. The liner I use is from the Sephora collection which is their Classic Line 24HR Felt Eyeliner. The tip is not to thin or too think. Personally, I like liner that tips are like those Uni-ball pen tips which, this remind me of those.

Also, I just got my free birthday gift from Sephora which ended up being two Nars lip pencils. I actually have been using them as lipstick instead of lip liner due to the way it looks after I put it on.

And here is the end result is this:

Shiny Kiss Flavored Gloss
Just use a tiny bit of the gloss though because if you use more than that it will be super shiny and sticky.

I know that some of these products are little pricey but Skincare is one of the areas that I spend a good amount of money. I tend to keep most of these for 3-6 months or until I run out of the product (except for the face wash which is the supersized one that I have had for about 6 months). I consider it a good investment to buy some really great make-up and skincare products that you like.

I would love to hear about some of the products that you use in you daily routines.

Everyone have a great rest of your Tuesday.

A new start

Hi,

My name is Navia and I use to be a pseudo-blogger a few months ago. A whole lot has happened since March. I was kept extremely busy between school and work this spring semester. Also, I was trying to figure out if I wanted to still blog or not since let's be honest: only two people (if I am counting myself it is three) read this blog. I have decided that since I am going to be 32 as of today that I should start fresh and new with trying to invest more into this blog. I do love writing (I have my first Bachelors in print journalism after all) and there are some great blogs out that there people write for the love of it.

So with this turn the content on here is going to change a great deal. Mostly, it will be about who I am not at this point. With that being said this first post is going to be about gym attire. At the beginning of April (the 2nd to be exact) I started a weight loss program through my job which I will go more into later. I also started working out more which has resulted in me losing 26 lbs as of today. I have become obsessed with workout clothing. Last week I received an email from Victoria Secret about being able to get sports bars for $25 which, I totally took advantage of.

Here are the four bars that I bought and my opinions on them. They have them broken into minimum and maximum support.

Knockout by Victorias Secret Front-Close Sport Bra  Knockout by Victoria’s Secret Front-Close Sport Bra
Knockout by Victoria's Secret Front-Close Sport Bra
In store they only had pink in my size but online they have 16 colors. I like some of elements of this bra such as it has the bra shell underneath for the support. The only thing that would make this one better is if they had where the bra is detachable (it is not) from the sports bra covering. This bra has get support when you are jumping up and down doing jumping jacks or running

Angel by Victoria’s Secret Sport Bra Angel by Victorias Secret Sport Bra
Angel by Victoria's Secret Sport Bra
This bra I bought in Turkish Blue Mesh and Black. It has lime under and the blue on top which makes it fun to look at. The thing I do not like about this bra is having to put it on since the straps do the cross in the back (it's a hassle I will tell you that even with it unhooked)

Victorias Secret Angel Sport Bra
Victoria's Secret Angel Sport Bra
This bar I bought in the Pop Lime Mesh color. With this bra like many of the others except one or two, they all hook in the back like a regular bra.

They are having a sale at the moment where you can do a mix and match of sports bras and tops for 2/$49.50. Overall, I like all the bras that I bought and I think I am probably going to go buy some more at some point. And if anyone gets a chance go check www.fabletics.com. You take a test and they determine what kind of workout clothes fit you personality. The best part is that you get the whole outfit when you order instead of ordering piece by piece. That is it for now. Until next time, Laters.........
